Michelle Pittsenbarger currently serves as the Director of Continuity & Crisis Management at Nationwide.  In this role, she is accountable to set the strategy and deliver solutions for Business and Disaster Resiliency, Crisis Management and Associate Awareness Education.  Based in Columbus, Ohio she oversees a highly talented team of information security associates.

At Nationwide, Michelle has progressively held roles of increasing responsibility and has practical experience across multiple functional areas within both business units and information technology; including: Claims, Personal Lines, Internet, Risk Management, Infrastructure, Agency and Operations.

Michelle has earned the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls (CRISC) designations.  She also has an Associates of Science in Computer and Information Sciences degree from Franklin University.

As a self-proclaimed Chief Happiness Officer, Michelle is active in the local technology community.  She has a strong passion to help other women build their self-confidence and achieve career aspirations.

She also serves as Vice President for the Central Ohio ISACA chapter and is a founding member of EmpoWE-R Women of InfoSec.

Michelle is an avid reader and loves to get lost in a good book.  She enjoys cooking and learning about food.  She is married with two children and enjoys vacationing with her family and exploring the globe.
